Nurse Day at the Capitol

The next Nurse Day at the Capitol will be February 27-28, 2023. Save the date, and bookmark this page for updates! The half-day live CNE event will include an overview of the current public health landscape in Texas, the nurse’s role in health policy, the nursing legislative agenda, and a legislative panel. This will be followed by a day full of visits with individual legislators.

Many TNA members cite their experiences at TNA’s Nurse Day events as opening their eyes to the many facets of the nursing profession and inspiring them to get informed about nursing issues and encouraged about the future of nursing in Texas. The 88th session of the Texas Legislature looks different than in years past, but the need for nurses to advocate for Texans and themselves has never been greater.
